IN-HOME THERAPY
Who is eligible for In-Home Therapy services?
We are able to support any child/young adult ages 3-21 covered
by MassHeath. This includes: MBHP, BMC HealthNet Plan, Network
Health, Neighborhood Health Plan (Beacon Health Strategies) and
Fallon Community Health Plan (Beacon Health Strategies).
How long will the In-Home Therapy Team be working with my family?
The team will work with your family for as long as there is a
demonstrated medical necessity; in other words, as long as you need
us.
I work all day. Can the In-Home Therapy Team meet with my family in
the evening?
Yes. This service is designed to be flexible and respect
families’ schedules.
Do we always have to meet in my home?
This service focuses on work in the family home. However, if
there is an occasional need to meet elsewhere, we will do our best
to accommodate you.
Who can make a referral for In-Home Therapy?
In-Home Therapy is a voluntary service, and referrals are
welcome from anyone, including parents/legal guardians, therapists,
DCF (Mass. Department of Children and Families), inpatient treatment
facility clinicians, teachers and school administrators. However, if
parents or legal guardians are not making their own referral, they
should sign a release authorizing others to do so.
